since pissing off old purist cishet male classicists is one of my favorite hobbies here are some ideas for wlw in greek mythology
- selene, artemis, and hecate are all lunar goddesses, so they can have one big polyamorous relationship and be moon girlfriends together (or alternatively selene can be dating her witch gf hecate and artemis is their qpp if you like aro artemis)
- beautiful nymphs dating each other and whenever a skeevy male god comes along and tries to flirt with them they’re just like ‘um no’
- aphrodite and athena dating sometimes because despite everyone calling her vain and only interested in beauty, aphrodite knows how to use her beauty as well as any warrior knows how to use their resources, and athena appreciates that intelligence (and also how beautiful aphrodite can make her feel)
- women whom zeus had an affair with and left behind finding comfort in each other’s arms and sometimes finding the love they always deserved with each other
- amazons dating each other and going into battle to protect each other and taking care of each other’s wounds after battle and kissing all the cuts and bruises better
- maenads who participate in dionysian rites together and dance with each other in their rituals and celebrate the same-gender love that their god also feels
